... so Moore Jackson Community Garden collaborates and partners with organizations like Green Guerillas, Queens Botanical Gardens Composting, Big Reuse Community Composting, and others to advocate for the continued existence of community gardens, community composting operations, and funding opportunities for all of the above.
Since its inception, we have represented the borough of Queens on Green Guerillas' Council of Gardeners' Steering Committee. It is an inclusive, cross-borough group of community gardeners coming together to voice the needs of gardeners, to initiate collective action, to seek funding opportunities, to connect well-resourced gardens with under-resourced gardens, and to connect seasoned leaders with emerging leaders.
