Volunteers plan collaboratively for each growing season over the winter months, germinating seeds, discussing what worked and where, and determining what we'll plant in the Spring. We grow together. No one person or family gets their own garden bed. This is why we always need new volunteers to help keep the garden going; we grow collectively. During the growing season, we need gardeners (beginners and beyond) and Watering Volunteers to make sure everything is getting a healthy drink.
And if you love gardens but don't want to garden (v.), message us if you'd like to volunteer as a Garden Steward. We need more of them to be able to keep the space open to visitors more often.
We also grow: shiso, jalapeños, papalo, zucchini, eggplant, collard greens, broccoli, radishes, basil, mint, cucamelons, ground cherries, onions, parsley, bell peppers, peaches, figs, cilantro, and more...
